General Infomation
The Director of the International Cooperation Office is responsible for developing and managing the University's international partnerships and cooperation activities, including academic collaboration, research cooperation, exchange programs, and international engagement.
The position serves as a key bridge between DNTU and international universities, educational organizations, enterprises, and strategic partners, contributing to the University's internationalization and global engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise the University Management Board on internationalization strategies and directions.
- Develop annual and strategic plans for international cooperation.
- Identify, establish, and develop relationships with international universities, educational institutions, research organizations, enterprises, and strategic partners.
- Develop and manage international academic, research, and exchange programs.
- Coordinate faculty, student, expert, and researcher exchange programs.
- Advise on and coordinate the development and implementation of international agreements, MoUs, and cooperation programs.
- Work closely with Faculties and University units to develop international cooperation projects.
- Identify international scholarships, funding opportunities, projects, and external resources.
- Organize international academic, cultural, and engagement events.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of international cooperation programs and projects.
- Lead or coordinate the resolution of issues arising during cooperation activities.
- Manage the Office's personnel and operations and provide regular reports and improvement proposals.
- Perform other duties assigned by the University Management Board.
Job Requierements
Education
- Hold a PhD or higher in a discipline relevant to international cooperation activities.
- Strong foreign language proficiency, particularly English, sufficient for communication, professional collaboration, and negotiation with international partners.
- Proficient in information technology tools required for the position.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in higher education and international cooperation.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with universities, educational institutions, research organizations, enterprises, and international partners.
- Experience in organizing, managing, or coordinating international cooperation programs, projects, or activities.
- Management experience or experience overseeing international relations in a higher education institution is preferred.
Competencies
- Strong understanding of government policies, regulations, and sector requirements relating to international relations and international cooperation in higher education.
- Sound knowledge of international relations, international cooperation, and international partnership and investment activities.
- Understanding of international academic cooperation, research collaboration, faculty and student exchange, and other international education programs.
- Ability to manage and implement agreements, plans, and relevant documents related to international cooperation activities.
- Ability to advise and propose solutions for the development of the University’s international cooperation activities.
- Strong ability to plan, organize, manage, and operate international cooperation activities.
- Ability to develop and maintain an international partner network aligned with the University’s strategic direction.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Faculties, Offices, Centers, and individuals across the University in implementing international cooperation programs.
